Maggie Peeke

Born and raised on the seacoast of New Hampshire, I developed a deep appreciation for nature and learned early on that human health and planetary health are intrinsically connected.

After earning a degree in business and economics, I embarked on a marketing career but knew something was missing. Intrigued by the powerful impact of diet on health and well-being, I made the big yet pivotal decision to change careers and become a registered dietitian and get my master’s in nutrition. Shortly thereafter, I moved to Denver, following my grandparents’ roots. Now, melding my marketing skills with my expertise in nutrition, I spend my time translating nutrition science into comprehensible content for various audiences so they can live healthier, more nutritious lives.

In my free time, I try to immerse myself in all of the outdoor activities that Colorado has to offer. Whether it’s hiking or skiing a mountain, gardening, or biking through Denver, you can usually find me outside. I am proud to be a part of Slow Food Denver and excited to support our local food system.
