Meet The Team

HANNAH STOKES

I began teaching with Slow Foods August of 2023. Three of my pivotal life interests, gardening, cooking/eating good food, and youth led me to Slow Foods Denver chapter, and I am so grateful to be here! I am from Fort Collins, Colorado and have spent time working and living all over our beautiful state. I studied Environmental Policy at Colorado State University, and feel a strong moral pull to do my part in advancing food system knowledge and natural resource awareness.

Along with being a Slow Foods instructor, I have worked as a landscape professional for the last decade. Being able to share the joy of getting hands in the dirt with kids in Denver Metro has been gratifying and important work. I believe sharing food, creating joy around food, and learning about food systems is vital to changing our society for the better.

When I am not busy running landscaping crews or spending time instructing with Slow Foods, you will find me outside enjoying all that Colorado has to offer, gardening, climbing, skiing, hiking, and more!
