Meet The Team

Jodie Lindsay Popma

My name is Jodie Lindsay Popma, and I believe in the power of food.

I am a certified holistic nutritionist, based in Longmont, CO. I work directly with families, school districts, farmers, and community organizations.

My mantra is straightforward: simple changes and smart choices help our children’s bodies and brains function optimally. When children are encouraged to eat whole foods at an early age it promotes lifelong positive food behaviors. A good foundation begins at home, and parents have the power to create healthy habits that will yield a lifetime of benefits.

I have been a board member of Slow Food, Boulder County since 2017. I have also had the honor of working with Boulder County Farmers Markets, the Chef Ann Foundation, Flagstaff Academy Charter School, EFAA – Boulder, the OUR Center – Longmont, Cooking Matters, Colorado, Children’s Hospital of Colorado and the Boulder County Fair (Farm to Table Dinner and Kid’s Farm to Picnic Luncheon).

I am originally from Chester County, PA, but have lived in Colorado since 1995. I live in Longmont with my husband, a local business owner, and my two boys ages 12 and 14 (who taste test all my recipes) since 2001. We enjoy making weekly trips to the farmer’s market and cooking together as much as we can. I also enjoy preserving summer produce in the healthiest way possible, as one of my greatest joys in life is popping opening a quart of organic Palisade peaches on a snowy December day.
