Saturday, May 14, we’ll be working with our friends at Kitchen on the Green, an organization that runs cooking programs for youth in the Aurora community, and especially targeting low income residents.

KotG has an herb and veggie garden that we’ll be sowing with seeds, and planting with seedlings straight from the greenhouse, including clearly labeling what’s going where. We’ll also be mulching the walking areas, possibly filling beds as needed with organic material if needed, so expect general Spring garden wake-up tasks.

As always, we’ll sit down after our efforts to enjoy a hot meal (prepared by some seriously expert cooks!) together and bask in the glow of spring sunshine and the good we’ve accomplished with new friends.

Note that this will be an uber-family friendly mob, with a playground directly adjacent to the garden area.
