Why Sponsor?

Slow Food Denver works daily to bring good, clean, and fair food to everyone in the Denver Metro area. We teach kids cooking and gardening skills that last a lifetime. We provide adults with the necessary education to become informed consumers and skills creators. And, we work to build a resilient, sustainable Denver food system for everyone.

Want to support this work? Sponsorship could be the right option for you!

Our Story

Slow Food Denver, founded in 2001, is committed to the enjoyment of local food by all members of the community, seeking to create a more just and sustainable food system. We value cultivating community and connection, restoring biodiversity, celebrating food cultures, defending social and economic equality, and protecting the environment.

Our biggest programs are Seed to Plate, the Food Ethos Denver (FED) Workshops, Snail of Approval, and Communities of Culture. The first program Slow Food Denver created was Seed to Plate, our well known youth education initiative. In 2024, we added an adult education program, FED, to our organizations ongoing work. Each of these programs helps to cultivate a sustainable, resilient, just future for Denver.

Our programming continues to grow annually.

Seed to Plate has grown exponentially, continuing to see bigger numbers every year. Since 2021, the youth education program has seen a 50% growth rate year over year (CAGR) in sites we are serving, with an overall 227.78% growth rate within that time frame. The program has also seen a 211% percent growth rate in student enrollment and 227.8% increase in classes held, within those three years. These number demonstrate our continued commitment to increasing access to nutritious food and cooking and gardening skills.

Statistics based on year over year annual reporting and self tracked statistics.

2024 Slow Food Denver Impact

Food Ethos Denver Program

Hosted 9 workshops with 249 attendees, 109 of which were pay-what-you-can tickets. Supported 28 local partners.

FOOD ETHOS DENVER WORKSHOPS

Sponsor our youngest program and help us to grow the important workshops bringing food and  beverage skills and information to Denver residents. This program helps attendees gain the ability to cook, ferment, forage, butcher, and garden in an informed way. You can sponsor a single class, series, or the whole program.

2

SLOW FOOD FARM DINNER

This annual event is our biggest fundraiser of the year, supporting all of our programming. Sponsoring allows us to pay all vendors fairly without taking funds away from Seed to Plate, FED, Snail of Approval, and our general operating costs. Help us host the best event possible and raise even more to support SFD's ongoing work!

SEED TO PLATE

Supporting our youth education programming means assisting us in fostering a more educated group of young consumers. You will help provide underserved students with weekly nutritious meals, in addition to cooking and gardening skills that last a lifetime. The program truly embodies the old wisdom, "teach a man to fish, and he will eat for a lifetime."

We offer many ways to sponsor our programming. For each sponsorship opportunity (1-3 above) we offer a variety of funding levels with associated perks. To discover these options and decide which funding opportunity is best for you and your business, reach out to info@slowfooddenver.org
