Kitchen on the Green
Join us at the Kitchen on the Green where we will turn fresh produce donated by Grant Family Farms and Denver Yard Harvest into delicious preserved foods. Under the guidance of Gigia Kolouch of Slow Food Denver, we will learn best-in-practice preserving techniques by making 2-3 preserved items. Everyone will have the opportunity to take home a jar of each preserved item. Additional items will be donated to the Kavod Senior Life‘s food pantry program. After a full morning of preserving, we will enjoy a delicious lunch together featuring local produce. *Please wear pants and closed-toed shoes, and a hat or hair tied up.
Grant Family Farm CSA members and Denver Yard Harvest volunteers qualify for Slow Food Member pricing for this event.
