Support real food and an end to childhood hunger.
Slow Food Denver is excited to partner with Share Our Strength, some of Colorado’s best chefs, local organizations and community members for the Heroes Against Hunger Block Party. This Saturday, August 17, University of Denver’s Campus Green will be transformed into a carnival-like experience for all ages with carnival games, bounce houses, great food from local chefs, beer, wine, live entertainment and a farmers’ market with live demonstrations. Slow Food Denver will host salsa-making workshops for youth and a Youth Farmers’ Market stand, highlighting our school garden programming.
When: Saturday August 17, noon-5pm
Where: University of Denver’s Campus Green (on Asbury between York and Race).
Cost: Free admission. All games, food and drinks $1-6
Parking is FREE for guests in the Law School parking garage located on Asbury between York and Gaylord.
How can you get involved?
- Join the fun. Admission is free. All games, food and drinks are ticketed (purchased at the door). This is a family-friendly event!
- Volunteer. Volunteer at the event, in shifts or all day. All volunteers receive five food/game tickets. Please email Alex at Share Our Strength if you are interested. email@example.com
